Cheaper Fast Charging, the IONITY edition 2022

I’ve been trying to hack my way around cheap European Fast Charging for quite some years. But today’s announcement is a big one, especially considering the timing: tomorrow is the first of June and unofficially that means summer crazy roadtripping is about to start.
The Bonnet app
Back in January, I wrote about the Bonnet charging app from Britain. You can also watch my instructional video.
Long story short, today they’ve added IONITY to the mix. This is by far the cheapest IONITY deal you can find out there right now. In my opinion it cannot last, but that’s not the point, you can start your IONITY charging session(s) today!
Signing up for Bonnet is easy. Even though the referral link doesn’t seem to work. You can download the app manually and use code “RD4BD” for a free “refill”.
Bonnet pricing as off May 31st, 2022:
Ad-hoc charging at a rate of 35 pence (~ € 0,42/kWh)
Monthly refill of £ 15,- / € 18,- for 50 kWh of (fast) charging (~ € 0,36/kWh)
Monthly refill of £ 35,- / € 42,- for 120 kWh of (fast) charging (~ € 0,35/kWh)
Monthly refill of £ 50,- / € 60,- for 200 kWh of (fast) charging (~ € 0,30/kWh)
